We won't get to see a football match this year imo and probably not for a while into 2021

haha that part was stupid  We won't get fans back whilst we don't have an effective track and trace. Other countries are managing it, because they have such things in place.

For once the correct decision. It isn't really about safety inside the stadium but the high number of people congregating in one space. I suspect sat in a seat with a mask on 2m from the next fan is pretty safe, but it's all that goes on around it that's the issue. As others have said can't see fans returning this year, maybe not even this season.

I didn’t realise that having an effective track and trace made you immune to the virus even if you did stupid things like gather thousands of people together for a couple of hours. And before you say they will be socially distanced, what about the ingress/egress systems, toilets, food bars etc. You can’t even get into the ground without pushing against the turnstile and potentially leaving germs on it.

It’s time everyone realised football and other sports are not the be all and end all and if it isn’t safe, then it isn’t safe.
Who are you calling pedantic? I resemble that remark!

You do realise political issues expand further than if we get a vote for it or not?

How does that work when politics has a direct impact on the football?

At this point we need to learn to live with it or we will have no small businesses including football clubs.

In April we had 20,000 daily tests and 5000 daily cases. 5%

In September we have 230,000 daily tests and 4000 daily cases. 1.4%

It's so clear to see it's not getting worse, we need to get back to normal asap.
