Be typical if we draw somebody like Forest away and we can’t go

I've been saying for years it would be nice if we got someone "easy" at home.

We got Morecambe at home last season and still managed to lose

Hopefully for once we actually might get past the 1st round!

It was just over two years ago that we thrashed Accrington 6-1.

Mighty impressive that night too - though I think that had more to do with them fielding kids.

Always remember Leeds and the 0-0 - first memories of following us

Agreed, I always believe they should do what they do in Germany and the unseeded side at home.

Little point in sending a full squad here to lost 5-0, send the kids

I know, if it were seeded the unseeded side should be at home

I believe it should be seeded - plus if the unseeded side is at home there is more chance of a crowd etc (obv not this time)

The draw used to be seeded, but could play home or away.

I disagree about sending the kids. This is a perfect chance for us to try out our first choice eleven ready for the season starting the following week. You could just use it as a high calibre friendly if you like. If we win then lovely, if not never mind.

I agree, a perfect last pre-season match. The league is our priority so what better way to prepare than with a competitive away game like this?

It should be treated like a league game so the first team are at the races straight away.

At least it'll cut down on our fixture congestion.

First four rounds of this competition will be played before 1st October, so will be behind closed doors.

Don’t suppose anybody would know whether will pubs be able to stream it considering the circumstances?

Under covid secure guidelines pubs are not encouraged to show live sport or play loud music as it may encourage people shouting which apparently makes the spread of droplets broader

Supposedly, but I’ve been in numerous pubs where football has been on.
