Hardly surprising they have done well when a lot of cars have sat on drives doing nothing while people are paying full premium. I usually average 15-18,000 miles per year with my most active period being March to November (stock car racing season). Since I took my car for MOT on March 20th I have done about 700 miles in 5 months. Payouts for claims must be at an all time low this year.

I can confirm as until recently an employee of an insurance company, the times have been good. Premiums still get paid and as mileage has been markedly lower, accidents and repairs have also reduced considerably.

I can confirm Admiral gave me a discount this summer and refunded me £50 for dual policy. Nice gesture I thought.

Admiral did a blanket £25 per person refund but as far as I am aware no other companies did anything.
Just had my renewal and it is slightly up from last year.

I presume you were very unhappy with that and called them for a larger refund based on the higher price?

Me neither. Car has done 400 miles since March 23.

Direct Line also did a refund after you filled in a survey for them regarding your mileage
