Another full back? Will O'Keefe be mainly for the left then? If not, that's Clarke, Gordon, O'Keefe and Perch (if it is him) all for right back.

O keefe will be our starting wing back, Clarke isn’t ready yet.

Agree on Clarke, but who will cover the left side?

Perch played most of his games as a defensive midfielder last season, I’d expect him to play there primarily. He will provide cover in other areas though

We need another holding midfield player as back up for Ollie Clarke.

Sounds a very positive signing.

I like how we've done business this pre-season.

Love how in his interview at the start, when Stevo asks him "Why was the Stags the club for you?", he looks towards Bishop Street!

agreed Clarke is one that needs a loan to the league below and regular football... He wasn't up to it last year at times, not quite ready but he will be. He has shown what he can do and we will all be proud when he does make that position his.

I think Kellan Gordon may be more likely to go out on loan as he would come off the salary cap of £1.5 million whereas James Clarke does not cost us a penny as he is under 21.

Kellan Gordon may be earning more than the average league wage of £1,300 per week so he would be down in the salary cap spreadsheet for that amount. He was probably earning more than that at Derby. Sedgewick may know.

Any income generated from players going out on loan is deducted from the club’s salary cap calculation.

They will both be starting as things stand in my opinion. Agree that we need 1 more for depth as Charsley or Maris aren’t really suited to the deeper roles, and Smith isn’t at the required standard. One more in there and we’d be in a good place.

Well if we sign Ogogo he will definitely be a starter, and alongside Clarke would be our standout signings this summer.

Trying to look objectively at Clarke, it does look as though he has a future in the game at our level but there are some key areas to iron out in his play. I would hope he would be playing as high as national league level to bring him on.

Gordon will be on an above average league two wage. Derby kids are on good money but nothing silly thats why they have good relationships with league two clubs. It was around the uk average salary I believe, they also banned colourful boots at one time.
