Hands up if you knew Tina Broughton resigned in Feb?

I’m in a bit of a quandary having read that.

I’m a current ST holder, do not want a refund and would like to renew. However, I’m still slightly worried about attending games due to medical reasons. I wonder if the club would consider providing vouchers for iFollow for people in the same boat as me to watch games on iFollow in exchange for the upfront investment of renewing the ticket, or is that me taking up a seat that could be used by someone else?

she's no longer on the board of directors, but she's still working on the operations side at the club.

You are right says she resigned Feb 2020, but also says Radfords country of residence is UK ?

I would like to think that the club will offer a dual seating plan . Socially distanced seats for as long as necessary but everyone can return to their normal seat once sanctions are lifted .Basically asking for the club to allocate season tickets in the same place as last season but ask supporters to sit in a temporary seat till Normal service is returned .

I think that is a reasonable requst.
Fair play to you for waving your refund.
I'm not a season ticket holder and also have similar doubts to you about attending games initially.
I'm thinking about subscribing to i Follow, especially if the club gets a cut.

On the basis that I said I wouldn’t take a refund I will do now.

£375 is a hike, and we don’t know when we will be allowed in, and whether it’ll come round again.

If we are not allowing away fans in for our home matches till circumstances change , we could manage our reduced capacity by using the 3 stands .

that is what will happen:
In the interim, the North Stand will also be used to host season ticket holders until such a time when One Call Stadium can increase its capacity to supporters.

Do we know how much it’s likely to be to watch the games on iFollow? More than the usual £10?

£375 as a minimum to watch league 2 football is quite out there for one of the poorest towns in the land.

So I have to pay £375 to watch games on I follow until Bo Jo says I can go in ground?
These are my opinions , if you don't like them I have others...

I rarely complain (honestly) but is anyone else like me thinking this is a bit of a disappointing approach and emphasis for existing season ticket holders?

The ifollow alternative is particularly poor, bearing in mind that the family audience is effectively unlimited if you pay a tenner for it.

Rather than starting with the guilt trip of 375 (NOT frozen versus last year’s early bird by the way) I think they should have pitched it at 300 for an early bird for a ‘Loyalty Ticket’ for an existing holder (taking into account having lost 6 games and giving them up) and (say) 75 for a kid.

You can buy a Premier League Southampton season ticket (adult and child) for marginally more than a Mansfield ticket!

Unfortunately this is a financial crisis for the club. I understand what you are saying but you cant please everyone...

Cant remember which Vietnam film it was but the saying ' this is one big ****sandwich and we're all going to have to take a bite' resonates

I used to be a season ticket holder for several years, until I joined the QL membership. I don't think it unreasonable for current season ticket holders to have priority. They didn't get use of their full season ticket last season.

As for costs I think given the current situation and the revenue lost by the club it's not unreasonable. Things are costing more, the price of my haircut has increased by 20%. I know for some, especially those unfortunate people who have lost income or worse still jobs, it will be unaffordable.

We can't expect JR to keep putting his hand in his pocket. These are uncertain and difficult times to be funding a football club. If we can afford to give the club financial support we should try to do so.

I am happy to support and I will renew in any case at this price but I think it could have been messaged better and needs to recognise that people have (a) lost 6 games and (b) face the possibility of shelling out higher than last year and then with the prospect of getting a product that costs a tenner when in fact they have ‘paid’ closer to twenty.
Just my view and others will of course have different views and there’s no absolute right or wrong here. I will renew.

no. You'll be able to watch games on iFollow without a season ticket by buying match passes. What you won't be able to do without a season ticket is go to games when the Government allows (unless I suppose there are fewer season ticket holders than people allowed in, which I doubt).

It does. It’s not the max price I bother with, it’s the minimum that I worry about.

It’s massively missed opportunity from the club to engage with fans, especially in a time when fans are struggling financially.

Correct. This was sort of the point I was trying to make.
