Brilliant player too. Saw him play for Notts youth team. Surprised they let him go tbh.

"Meanwhile, six scholars from last season have been released:

▪ Jordan Armsden
▪ Jamie Boyle
▪ Isacc Fisher
▪ Rio Molyneaux
▪ Larell King
▪ Nathan Saunders"

I'm surprised Rio Molyneaux has been released.

Plus several others still with us as second years and some have moved up to the 21s group.
We also have a new group of first years just signed with some promising lads amongst them .

with the positive news of the academy this morning, does this mean clubs will have to pay to swipe our players? or are we not at that stage yet?

Really good news. I can't pretend to know what it means though. https://www.efl.com/-more/efl-youth-development/

Is Noah Stokes still at the club? Young centre half who dislocated his knee at Retford (I think) last pre season

No, he was released. Shame as I looked the look of him at Bradford Park Avenue (which was where the injury occurred I believe)

That's a shame, I thought he looked alright as well albeit only from a couple of pre season games. With all the exciting attackers starting to come through from the academy it'd be great to see a big lad at the back to come through the youth teams

A few of us on here at the time said how shocked we were that we let Henri go. I'm sure Spiritator and Kernow were two of them along with myself who saw quite a lot of Henri in the youth/reserves.

Henri Wilder joined the Stags after he was released by Brighton's academy along with Teddy Bloor. He was always highly rated by the parents of the other youth team players.

Football is all about opinions. There are thousands of young players who need a chance and time to develop but managers need results quickly otherwise they are out of a job. Do they give an existing youth team or U21/23 player a few more years to develop or do they sign young players from Premier League and Championship academies who may be better players or who are more ready to go into the first team such as James Clarke (19)*, Will Tomlinson (20), Harry Charsley (23) etc?

Do you keep Henri Wilder as a left back or sign someone like Cohen Bramall (22) from Arsenal like Col U did or sign a full back on loan such as Jayden Richardson (19) from Forest like Exeter did?

* The ages are the ages of these players when signed by the Stags.

P.S. We won't mention Jack Evans
