Given the amount of stick he got on social media from ‘fans’, it’s hardly surprising. Just because it’s the done thing at the moment with social media, a player shouldn’t feel obliged to do it. A lot of the time, players praising the fans etc. just feels false.

or it just shows a little bit of class to acknowledge the fact that an employer had been paying them an extremely good wage for little return, just a thought!

It was his ankle I believe, rather thank his knee.
