Gc strikes me as a man that thinks he can get “value for money” we might have a summer of direct replacements not being as good on paper but will be better for the team in the long run.

Not surprised White has been let go (disappointed yes) - I was told at the Oldham game he'd been told he could leave so given the limited football since that point hardly surprised any opinions have been changed. (Put it on here at the time).

Stats and win ratio with Hayden in the team as opposed to sidelined speaks volumes. But going forwards possibly means Kellan Gordon is seen as the right back.

Unfortunately the Frank Nouble horror tackle did too much damage and he hasn't been consistently fit since, either way his time in a stags shirt will always be fondly remembered.

Good luck and all the best for the future Hayden.

Heard GC personally wants very few senior players next season around about 10/12 and have a lot of youth involved. Apparently wants an easier and smaller dressing room. A lot of the first teamers been released. However he also said GC might want this but might be made to have a few more senior players than he wants.

I should think so as well. Our goal here is still promotion, Carolyn said so the other day on Facebook and David Sharpe won’t have come in for us to be mid table fodder again. His reputation will be on the line as well.

10-12 senior pro’s would be criminal and quite weak on his behalf. Our current crop of youth players aren’t good enough to take up that much of the first team squad if we want to be challenging.

I understand for some clubs having a lot of youth players involved will be a necessity and I appreciate there has to be balance in any squad, but it sounds like we are fortunate enough to be in a strong financial position and therefore we should be looking to seize an opportunity this summer.

One proposal on the table is for League 2 clubs to have a salary cap of between £1.25-1.5m per season starting 2021/22.
Also, squad limited to 20 over 23 players, apparently to secure loans from Premiership teams.

If he had not been injured last year, we would have been a League 1 side now.

What constitutes as a senior player?

Bishop is a senior citizen ne'mind a senior player.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

He's definitely up there. White edges it for me because he was a key player in a division higher

Agree with that. LON was brilliant for us but in the conference, did go on to better things and is still doing it in League One but couldn't really judge him against HW for us.

There was never any chance of Bishop staying IMO.

Regarding what’s discussed above, a senior pro to me is a player 27-32, who’s played plenty of games. I don’t mind us going for younger, hungrier players. The other approach has not got us where the owner wants us to be.

Agree, it depends on what his definition of a senior pro is. Time will tell!

Bish was brilliant for us and even though he is past his best, he can never be accused of not caring about the cause.

It is time though. Thanks Bish and good luck to whatever comes next. Coaching probably

I don't the outburst had anything to do with not caring for the cause though.

That was all about being frustrated at how things were going and getting fed up with some of the idiots in the stands
