I’m not advocating we sign him due to his age but Alan McCormack is a very clever player at this level.

McCormack has always seemed like a red card waiting to happen when I've seen him play

One I’d like us to take a look at would be Sarcevic who has left Plymouth. Attacking midfielder with an eye for goal and a decent age.

Purely hypothetical but you could imagine a midfield of Clarke & Woodyard (as rumoured by James Goodwin), with Sarcevic in front linking with attack working quite well. Think he’ll probably end up further north than us though, born in Manchester and heavily linked with Salford.

Lee Holmes, born in my village, know his parents, now 33years old and had lots of injuries over past 15 months. Been a good servant to Exeter and was youngest player to make his debut for Rams many years ago but no thanks !
