Maybe, but he’s played nearly 2500 minutes this season. Hasn’t started the last three games so guessing he may have fell out with Grayson.

Sounds like Stockport have league 2 in their sites, Madden at, 31 cost £250,000 and gets a three and half year deal on a lucrative contract, taking him up to age 34 .
Having testing positive for covid 19 he is fighting to get back into the team, and with his contract running out at the end of next season, this was a good opportunity for him
Madden on those terms for Mansfield, having seen him play, he is a fox in the box, the down side for me is that he has spent his time in the lower leagues, and £250,000 with a three and a half year deal, taking him up to Sept 20/24 on competitive wages . would cost to much, Fleetwood a league 1 club seemed happy to let him go and £250,000 in league 1 with the club the size of Fleetwood is a lot of money, i do believe that the highest fee Mansfield have paid is £150,000 for a player,

Lee Angol and Andy Cook are mentioned in the history pages of most payed.
We gave Matt green away for free to buy Angol. Well Steve I want a whole new squad Evans did.
Fascinating read on John Radfords answers to ssa fans from 2017- 18.
26 players on Evans list he gave to John.

That either says great things about the quality of Newport's squad, or bad things about the quality of Wales'.

Green was done at this level, Evans did the right thing releasing Green.

True but his replacement was no better in my opinion and we could of sold green the season before for 200k.
Think we were also offered 60k for green in January that season from what I read.

Just because his replacement wasn't better still doesn't make the decision to let Green go a bad one, it just means the decision to sign Angol was wrong. It's the same narrative people still harp on about sacking Flitcroft, it was the decision to replace him with Dempster which was wrong but I'm opening up a can of worms there!

I'm surprised Madden has dropped to non-league however clearly the money has lured him in which he can't turn down at his age.

Alex Neil sacked at Preston. Don’t think the bored have helped him much this season.

A bit of an odd one. I think he’s been without a club since June

The Barrow midfield player, Lewis Hardcastle (22), has had to retire from professional football due to a heart problem.

Exeter City - Sell On Clauses for Ollie Watkins

Very good sell on clauses for Exeter City based on receiving 15% of any future income received by Brentford for him.

"The selection of Ollie Watkins to the England squad should bring financial benefit to Exeter City Football Club – as long as he either starts a game or is on the bench. When Ollie was sold to Brentford in 2017, it was agreed that Exeter City would receive 15 per cent of any future income Brentford received for the player. Additionally, the club will be entitled to financial recompense whilst Aston Villa remain in the Premier League.

Exeter City FC will receive 15 per cent of the following potential payments to Brentford:

£1m per England competitive starting appearance
£500,000 as a sub
£500,000 for a ‘friendly’ start. £250,000 as a ‘friendly’ sub
£1m per year for Aston Villa remaining in the Premier League.

The maximum total payment ceiling from Aston Villa to Brentford is £5 million.
