That's my point really, our main strikers rarely get more than half chances.

Let’s us just leave it to Clough and Clough and then give the new players time to settle . I would imagine that all us excellent armchair managers would have signed Maynard and Cook . I certainly cannot remember any negative posts when they signed . It is only hindsight that forms many posters opinion.

Edwards looked lovely against us when he came on. Possibly caught the eye of Cloughy? Closer to home for the lad? Or possibly just on his way to L1/top of L2.

Looks like he caught your eye ;) :)

 bloody autocorrect. Lively that should have been. Lovely works though!

 I knew what it should’ve been but it was an open goal mate :D

Not sure Alan Shearer in his prime would score many if he were in our side, the fault doesn't lie with either of our main strikers but with the calibre of the chances made.

We are too light wright in midfield and carry no threat down the flanks unless our full backs provide it thus leaving us open to a quick counter attack.

So what do we need IMO.

1) A dependable centre back.

2) Better central midfield to partner Clark/Lapslie.

3) Quick wide midfielder, we really do miss CJ for all his poor crossing.

4) A replacement for any striker that leaves.

Lapslie is OK but he is too light weight as the team currently lines up, if we sign Lapslie as a first choice central midfielder then Clark has to make room for him.

All my opinion, it's as good as anyone elses.

Both our attack and defence is midtable IMO, now that we have a capable manager.

Can't beleive with you being the only one to spot that Clough has overlooked you as his head of recruitment

Ricky Miller is back in the game. Signed for Aldershot and scored the winner on debut.

It was indeed Belly.

A nasty gash (lol) for his troubles as well on his thigh. I won’t post the picture as it’s a bit gruesome but can be seen on his twitter feed.

Always likes Miller as a bloke, came across like he wanted to do well for us, also joined the fans a couple of times if I remember rightly! (Stevenage and chesterfield)

He liked the life too much off the pitch, hence he is where he is now.

Is Ross McCormack playing for Aldershot (signed by Fulham for £11 million and Aston Villa for £12 million)?

He liked the life too much off the pitch, hence he is where he is now.

You might want to research that a little more.
He suffered from mental health issues which have been well documented and the drinking was a result of this, not the catalyst.
His anxiety issues flared up every time he joined a league club due to the increased regular contact with a group of players, rather than occasional training sessions in non league.

I’m aware of what he’s said about his underlying issues yes, but I wasn’t talking about drinking.

All of which were connected to his mental health issues.

If you follow him on Twitter, Ricky is often talking about his struggles with his mental health and how alcohol and other things became a crutch then overtook his life.

Fair play to him, he really has turned it around.
