I watched Stags beat Newport 5-0 today. Watched the full 90 minutes with 3pm kick off. :D

I pissed all over the toilet floor and stuff pubic hair in the sink just to recreate that IGU atmosphere, and charged myself £5 for a lump of burnt pastry filled with gristle & a paper cup of tepid brown water at half time.

It was like being there.

Martin sent me the footage of that some years ago as I was right in front of Stanty "on the fence".
At the time he seemed to be on the fence forever but the footage actually shows it was a quick on and off.

Remember this match for loadsa trouble...can’t remember any goals from it.

Remember walking to ground from talbot direction and seeing about 100 Cardiff fans being escorted then probably around 150-200 Mansfield come running over from titchfield Park direction into the Cardiff escort.

you don't need to have a twitter account, to view the tweets, as they are embedded. You do need a modern computer.

Thanks, just watched the match back and brought back some memories. Camera angle and camera work a bit naff at times, however the camera man had to keep up with the play, with the ball being a treated as a hot potato. Nobody wanted to keep hold of the ball for any longer than a few seconds, literally smashed forward at every opportunity! I also forgot how bad the atmosphere was.

Loved it though. Happy times. Can't quite remember if I was stood in the lower West (South) or the North stand for this game.

Any chance when of you uploading Cheltenham at home promotion season or when we beat Wolves 3-1 ('89?) with Steve Bull in their side (though not the reverse fixture!).

I only have the goals from those games, not the full 90 minutes. But yes I will be doing the goals from both in the coming weeks.

Didn't Mark Kearney also score with a quick free kick against Tranmere Rovers away in 1985-1986 when we were promoted from Division 4? He also had one disallowed in another game which I remember being really annoyed about.
