Was listening to a guy from Chicago on tv who was in the financial markets, a money man.

He was saying that we should have just let the virus rip and get over with it in a short time.

He was actually saying business of 99% of the population was more important than 1% of deaths.

Can you believe it?

I can absolutely believe it, what's 70-80 million dead compared to the mighty $ to these shitheads.

If you are in a job which is insecure, you'd be forgiven for wanting the nation to get back to work so you can protect your family's interests - and there are millions of people in that situation.

Health Vs wealth isn't new unfortunately. The wealth of the 'west' is often put before the health of emerging nations. The virus just brings it closer to home.

It's a horrible situation. Prey for a vaccine.

Or pray !!!

Several EFL clubs 'days away from going bust' amid wage dispute. Growing number of League One and League Two club owners believe 2019-2020 season should be cancelled.

This has really highlighted how overpaid a lot of these players are. Totally TV orientated over inflated wages. Lots of the prem players could take a 75% cut and still earn a quarter of a million a year. All leagues below it too could scale back. The real backbone of society and the ones keeping the country going couldn’t earn a quarter of a million in a decade in most cases. Maybe this is finally when the bubble bursts!!!

May as well rip our pitch up on that score then as we've won how many games at home this season?

You could very well be right, especially if, as is being mooted, the bundeslegia , la Liga and the italian league all return before the premier league, then they will get the tv cash .

Listening to that guys report, I think it's time we heard a message from JR.

Will we have a club or are we going to go to the wall?

Football as an industry is hugely unsustainable. 'businesses' can't run at the losses some clubs make. The bubble is bursting, and as usual, it's the poorest who are hit hardest.

The Football League have hardly been making hay while the sun was shining.

I think we'll see several clubs make their whole squads and coaching staff redundant and just aim to keep the lights on for the foreseeable.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Maybe the clubs should be run properly for a change. Hearing 4th tier players earning up to £5,000 a week makes me laugh. Maximum of £2,000 a week in league two would be enough imo. Cap wages now. It works in lots of other sports.

Whilst I agree with this, it must be done throughout all of the leagues or it will just be opening the door to premiership reserve teams to enter the football league. Players would flock to those clubs rather than take the lower wage and the only other way to stop this would to be to put a cap of say 30 professional players at any one club.

Will we have a club or are we going to go to the wall?

When the Crewe game was postponed, the following statement was made on the official club website :

"The club can also inform supporters that owners John & Carolyn Radford have pledged to cover any financial shortfalls over the coming weeks that result from the loss of matchday income."

If nothing has changed since then, why do we need anything else ?

Think we need a “Duckworth - Lewis” method and end the season now.
Start again when it’s safe
