Foul throws at Northampton

Looking at the extended highlights of the Northampton game did anyone else spot that virtually every one of Good"s long throw ins were a foul throws ,with his feet appearing to be well over the sidelines, poor referee and a poor lino

We’re both feet over the line ?
Both feet don’t need to be behind the line. They just have to be touching it.

I totally agree, if McCormack had been booked when he kicked the ball in frustration against an injured player he would have been sent off when he was booked in the second half. Goode should have also been sent off for two bad tackles that went unpunished against Maynard. The Cobblers fans are in agreement on their website that their players lost it at certain parts of the game yesterday. Disappointed by the mental demise of this team under Curle. Poorest game I have seen this season and totally agree with GC, describing it as a rugby match. This Cobblers team should be no where near the playoffs, poor attitude, verging on cheating. Three points though very sweet.

Have a look at the video, looks like both feet were over the touchline not just touching it..really just making a point about the poor officials

I haven’t watched all of his throw ins but it appears that he lands his right foot with the heel on the touch line and then slides his left foot so that it is also on the line. The front of his feet are in the field of play but part of both feet are on or behind the touch line so it is therefore a legal throw-in.
Regardless of this, you very rarely see officials at EFL level giving foul throws. I think they regard it as a petty infringement and want to keep the game flowing. Similarly throw ins are regularly taken 5+ yards ahead of the correct position and keepers regularly handle the ball when drop-kicking or rolling the ball out of their penalty area.
