How odd then that even our manager thought it wasn’t a red. But what would he know ?

GC didn't not think it was a red. He said he didn't know what a red was these days. What he actually said was that he didn't think the lad 'should' have been sent off, which is more about ruining the game and not being what 'should' happen when these things occur in football, rather than whether it was within the rules and the ref was right to show him red. Following the rules, it was very clearly a justified red card.

They’re laws.

This isn't the rugby thread belly ;) , last man, push in the back to stop the shot, red all day long.

Good job, no wonder Belly likes rugger, I see yesterday's game re-endorsed the fact its just an excuse for men to roll about playing with each others genitals

Nice spot of homophobia to start the day off.

Or a simple comment about Joe Marler grabbing Alun Wyn Jones by the balls after an England try in an attempt to wind him up yesterday

It’s your fault, Belly. You enjoy the spectacle of a sport involving rugged men with odd-shaped balls. :D

I said "one of" but if you can ignore that to fit your agenda then well done ;)

Not even in the ‘one of’ category. The lad needs some slack cut.

That's your opinion, mine differs.

That’s what makes sport great to talk about mate. Differing views and opinions. I don’t think he’s fantastic but nowhere near the bottom rung of midfielders we’ve had imho.

Our manager’s comments are not going to endear him to either the Northampton fans or the management.

It’s going to make for some feisty encounters over the next few seasons. (Provided we don’t get promoted that is!) Could Northampton be our new Chesterfield while our real rivals languish in the nether world.

I hope he becomes a success at this club.
I think you are being a little unfair. DF and the "Scottish " manager praised the fans on many occasions, without prompting.

I seem to recall the Fat Scotsman called us glory hunters after the fans had the temerity to boo the team off the pitch after a particularly bad game

What a good assist that was from Maynard on the 2nd goal.

Haha. You’re myopic. I’m not talking about Marler’s actions. I’m on about the comment at me.

On here, labelling people seems far more common than accepting its human error occasionally.

Defo. A lot of my posts usually have an agreeing consensus of zero! :P

Can you imagine how dull it'd be if we all agreed & got along like splendid fellows?? ;)
