With White and Benning not starting does it mean we will play 433?

Yes, he came on as a 90th minute substitue in the cup game vs Everton U23s earlier this season.

He also was a unused sub in the 3-2 win over Scunthorpe last season. I think they are the only 2 times he's been in the matchday 18.

Ok, so he's not made his proper league debut yet. Hope he gets on.

What realistic alternative is there?
I am more convinced by Charlsley but not sure who else he could pick from the current squad

exactly. there's only macca and Evans and one of them is injured and it doesn't look like he fancies playing Evans yet.

If he's not going to include Benning at LB I'd put him in left midfield of a 3 rather than the awful Tomlinson. At least Benning is calm on the ball, can get up and down and can actually pick a pass!!
I still believe imo Tomlinson is one of the worst midfielders I've seen in my 43 years of watching League football.
Evans can't be as bad as both can he lol??

Northampton are putting plenty of water on a pitch that already looks threadbare. I can see plenty of fouls in this one.

Only on here can a 22 year old lad, who has made 30-odd career league appearances, be written off. Alongside a 23 year old who has played 9 league games in his career.

Mystified by Evans' lack of game time

First impressions are everything, you can get a feel straight away. Deardens youngsters had something about them from day one, those two don't. It's only an opinion on an opinion based forum, but as usual it's not allowed by the amber tinted over analytical divs

Red card for Northampton, Charsley pushed over in the area. Stags penalty.

Also, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

Besides, where have I said you aren't allowed an opinion? I have a different opinion to you, am I not allowed an opinion either? I was under the impression a forum was for people to discuss things and allow people to have a beate where they argue their points. I tried that and you've spat the dummy out and called me a "div" for having a different opinion. Who's blocking who from having an opinion?
