Scunthorpe seem to be fielding a weakened side at Swindon. Resting players for the derby game against Grimsby on Saturday.

Matt Green is starting for Grimsby at Plymouth.

HT: Plymouth Argyle 3 Grimsby Town 0
A superb first half for Plymouth as a header from Tyreeq Bakinson and goals from Ryan Hardie and Luke Jephcott give them a very comfortable half time lead.

Grimsby were probably the better side for the first 20 minutes with Harry Clifton heading wide from a Matt Green cross and Matt Green shooting over from a tight angle where he could have tried a shot earlier when he first received the ball. Ryan Hardie hit the post for Plymouth.

Plymouth took the lead on 21 minutes when an excellent George Cooper cross was headed in by Tyreeq Bakinson (21) on loan from Bristol City. George Cooper is playing as a very attacking left wing back and it was his 11th assist of the season. Luke Jephcott had a goal disallowed before Tyreeq Bakinson played a superb pass from deep in defence on 30 minutes which split the Grimsby centre halfs, Luke Waterfall and Harry Davis, and allowed Ryan Hardie to run on to the ball and round James McKeown in the Grimsby goal before scoring his 6th goal of the season. His previous 5 goals have been scored as a substitute. Plymouth then took a short corner in the 40th minute which was cleared to Conor Grant on the edge of the area. He crossed to Niall Canavan to head across goal to Luke Jephcott at the far post and he scrambled the ball past James McKeown and Ryan Hardie followed up to make sure. It looked from the replays that Jephcott's shot had gone over the line before McKeown scooped the ball out.

FT: Plymouth Argyle 3 Grimsby Town 0
Grimsby made more of a game of it in the 2nd half and Luke Waterfall had a header saved but Plymouth were comfortable winners. They could also have added to their lead as Ryan Hardie played a great ball over the top to Luke Jephcott who smashed a volley against the bar and Joe Edwards hit the post. Matt Green worked hard up front for Grimsby but he did not have great service. I thought he was one of Grimsby's better players on the night but the Grimsby fans on the Fishy Forum do not seem very impressed. Young Matty Pollock came on at half time at centre half and Grimsby did not concede another goals so he would be in with a shout for Grimsby's MOM.

George Cooper, Tyreeq Bakinson and Conor Grant played well for Plymouth with George Cooper being the stand out player in the 1st half. I also liked how their centre half Scott Wooton brought the ball out of defence and pushed up the pitch.

Attendance: 9,327 (205 from Grimsby)

iFollow at Plymouth Argyle

Positive
They had 3 cameras for iFollow. One on the side and two behind the goal.
Had a half time interview with a former player, Chris Hargreaves. He briefly mentioned working with Graham Coughlin at Bristol Rovers.

Negative
No commentary for first 20 minutes and then a bit crackly.
Did not show replays straight away.
