Oldham - Administration soon?

Postby bmthstag » Fri Feb 28, 2020 7:48 pm

Apparently their ground owner has applied to have them put into Administration.
If it happens I think it’s a 12 point deduction which would only put them 4 points clear of Stevenage who they still have to play.

If I’ve read it correctly the application for Administration is separate from the late wages and the HMRC petition. It’s being applied for by the owners of the ground.

I feel sorry for them. Probably the best supporters I've ever seen at Field Mill during the 6-1 trouncing.

What happened to Macc's punishment for their last league game that was postponed by SAG. Seems unfair teams at the bottom don't know where they stand with regard to this?

Stevenage could be about to wrestle the 'spawniest club in the land' title from the scummers up the road (A617 or A60 take your pick)
Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.

Oldham won 5-0 today and a 12 point deduction wouldn’t affect them at all

Think you’ll find it would. They’d have 12 points less.

Doesn’t it come to something when we are reliant on other teams misfortunes to save our own skin. One thing our owners have done is set up a brilliant infrastructure and training facility for the future but we are failing big time in implementing that growth into what matters and that’s promotion from division 4 football .

We aren’t relying on Oldham’s misfortunes. What are you on about ?

Wasn’t there a ruling that said if a points deduction due to financial regularities wouldn’t effect the teams league position for that season then the points loss could be held over until the following season?

I think it's based on date.

"The cut off for the points penalty to apply this season is March 26."
