Wonder if the club has put any sheets etc on the pitch to help shelter it? - or do they even do that?

Covers down the West Stand side.

Can’t see it being on

Water has always stood on that side of the pitch. hope its on, either that or Mrs Spartacus drags me shopping (the days of raping, pillaging and marauding across the land are but a distant memory).

The pitch as per Mansfield and the rest of the Country has suffered huge levels of rainfall since November. Nothing Mez can do about the weather. Look at other pitches of a similar level and financial backing and you will see the same.

Pitch inspection planned for 9.45am
mansfieldtown.net

Mansfield Town can announce that a pitch inspection will take place at 9.45am tomorrow ahead of our scheduled Sky Bet League Two match at home to Swindon Town.

The inspection has been called following heavy rain in Mansfield today, with more forecast overnight.

Head groundsman Michael Merriman said: “We have covered the side of the pitch closest to the Ian Greaves Stand, with the pitch covers available to us, and have taken every precautionary measure possible to try and give the game the best possible chance of going ahead as planned.”

Unless there’s standing water pooling on the pitch, play the bloody game. Man up.

I'm sure we had a groundsman expert a few weeks ago? Diasapeared quite quickly didn't he.

It's the rain we've had... Even the pitch at pride park with all the money that's been spent on it just isn't as good

Great result. Teams around us lost and we have a game in hand now.
