I’ll ask again. Can any journo with a pair of balls ask GC why he’s not playing ?

I would have started him after the Leyton Orient defeat. But I think it was the correct decision to remain unchanged today.

Then why bring him in on the first place!!??

Not aimed at you, but whyever bring someone in and not play him! Bizarre really.

And if the “he’s not fit” argument is to be used then that’s a problem at our end for not checking out whether the lad is upto the task or not

He can't be doing well in training or he would be playing.

If he hasn’t forced his way in ahead of this midfield it’s a concern

I don't disagree that it is strange that he hasn't played yet.

Not sure that I want to see GC grilled about it in the pre or post game interview though

Agreed, at times a traffic cone would have given some of our midfielders a decent comparison. It’s odd

My opinion is that I would like to have seen him play as I think the midfield we have been playing lacks creativity and I hope Evans can add some.

It is a fact that the manager has chosen not to play him

I'll email the club now.

Dear Mr Coughlan,

Belwhiff the Stagsnet bully would like you to explain your decision for not playing Jack Evans. He is a very important person and used to be in the army so you had better do as he says!

If you refuse to explain yourself he will use his online presence to call you some over used, but occasionally mildly amusing school boy names. They usually revolve around his obsession with the male sexual organ (read into that what you want).

I know you are the manager and you see the players train most days and that you have already attended more Stags matches than Belwhiff has in the last 10 years, but you really do not want to upset him. Just to emphasise his self importance, he went to America recently, albeit he doesn't like to mention it.

You have been warned,

Kevin Kent's Tasce (yes, I know it is spelled incorrectly)

Which is why I asked the question to request that journalists who do look on here ask the question. It’s pretty clear In my original post.

Don’t get your tit in a wringer. It’s not that big a thing, Poindexter.

I’m just confused why he’s signed a player, talked him up, then not played him. I’m hoping John Lomas will ask the question as the club poodle, Stevo would run a mile at asking even a slightly challenging question.

I agree with you Belly, just having a bit of fun.

You have given Yorkie alot of stick over the years about his "tick tock" posts and I think you are coming across similarly demanding and petulant.

Well apologies if it seems that way. It’s just frustration at the average level of local journalism.

Stevo is just a mouthpiece.

I’d expect better from others. It’s a valid question that’s all.

A player that Swansea fans all seem to rate as a prospect to get in their side in the future, but can't get a kick ahead of the likes of Bishop whose dummy came out weeks ago...

Agree it seems a bit mental.

He’s either been bad in training (really bad if he can’t get into our putrid midfield) or Coughlan’s scared to play a creative midfielder (Charsley is supposed to be a creative midfielder but I’ve not seen him do anything creative yet).

Personally I will be voting for Jack Evans as my player of the season as he has done something no other Stags player has managed to achieve this season. All the other candidates for my vote such as players, the grounds man, and even Martin have had an association to the pitch but this lad hasn’t.

What has he done? Managed to have a thread dedicated to his non-appearance and be subject to criticism without anyone having the foundation of seeing him run into the field of play. He has been signed as a loan player, recovering from a terrible illness with regards from his parent club to fitness, sharpness and ability. Is Graham right in breaking him in gently, assessing him in training with his suitability to the high work rate style he favors? Well, time will tell.

Viva la Stagsnet!

Belly - you are excluded as you have legitimately and repeatedly asked the question that we would like an answer to.
