Pitch covers down the side of the pitch - 5 hours of winds and sun - 2nd pitch inspection then game on.

Probably correct. The rain has stopped now, and the strong winds and sunshine should dry the pitch quickly.
But it depends whether it passes the imminent inspection. I imagine that the pitch is very unplayable right now, and I don't know whether the ref inspecting the pitch will have checked the forecast.

It doesn't have to pass the initial inspection. If they know brighter weather is on the way, they may schedule another inspection, later, and see what happens.

Was going to do the stud test, but on the back garden / pond there is a flock of angry looking ducks. In fact, I would go as far as to say they are quackers!!!!

I stand corrected you win the ‘In the Know / Reliable Source’ of the season competition.

Congratulations, you get a trip out on the back of Bellwiffs KTM as a Prize.

They'll be frozen and reheated just in time for the crewe game ;)

Seems a little hasty, although if it's all under water then it's sensible. At least it'll give me time to mow my lawns this afternoon!

It’s sensible especially with all the Swindon fans travelling. It’s obviously unplayable in certain areas and we had a load of rain in the early hours. Will the game be a week on Tuesday now?

Maybe, as it isn't a cup tie it could be any time agreeable to both sides and the EFL.
