He HAS to start.

Bobby has been at fault for goals in the last 3 fixtures.

I should have added, I was told Stones been doing more training this week and been a bigger focus than usual, so I think it could indicate hes the first name on the team sheet?

Stone, White and Charsley in for Olejnik, Benning and Riley. Could be 3-5-2 could be 4-4-2 could be 4-3-3.

Stone starts. So does White.

No Benning

I hope White isn’t being rushed back into starting today because of Riley’s injury.

Part of me thinks Stone can’t do any worse than Olejnik. Another says it it wish to throw a young lad in goal against a direct team on a day like today.

Evans must be absolutely useless in training if he can’t get a game.

Didn't he play 90 minutes with the stiffs in the week?

GC loves saying the same thing in three different ways I’ve noticed

Stone an interesting call. Olejnik not been great but it’s a big ask for the young lad to come in today against a direct time in such windy conditions.

What on earths going on in midfield? 3 games on the spin we’ve lined up with the dreadful Bishop and Tomlinson in there, even after 2 January signings - a sorry state of affairs.

What’s going on with Evans? Feels like a complete waste of time signing him. I’m really starting to believe we signed him as a last resort and we’ve seen him in training and he’s too lightweight. Always taking a MASSIVE risk asking a young lad with absolutely no exposure to men’s football to change the fortunes of that midfield. Must be treading water in training if he can’t get the nod over these numpties in midfield.

Hopefully people will give Stone support. It'll be the first "proper" game for us and his career. He played against Everton kids in the trophy but wasn't a massive crowd and its a competition some aren't bothered about. It's his full league debut so will bound to be nervous so I'd expect some early mistakes.

Benning has played the most amount of minutes this season so perhaps having a rest.

Certainly looks to be a back 3. I'm fairly optimistic today, only fairly.

I know that he played but wasn’t sure for how long, hopefully it was the full 90. Great to have him back though, he’s probably our second best player (Maynard) after all.

Ageee regarding Evans. He can’t be impressing at all in training to not break into our dreadful midfield.

I'm hoping he might play a part today... but I think he is a similar midfielder to Charsley and currently behind him.

The team selection doesn't inspire confidence. The weather is awful.

Happily take a draw today.

Good luck Stone. Not an easy task coming into a team in a relegation scrap on a day like today.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Will the game last the 90 minutes. It’s pretty bad now.

Especially with all the long throw ins that Demetriou is going to be firing into his 6 yard box. Would be surprised if Newport don’t score from one of their long throws today.

This game probably won't start & if it does, I can't see it finishing.
Standing water on the pitch, it's tipping down & the wind is getting stronger by the minute.

Looks like the wing backs system to start with.

its becuase hes made numerous mistakes and he needs to have a break and not dwell on those mistakes... if he keeps playing and keeps making them it'll only get worse.

Well said Sedgwick. Keepers thrive on confidence and get worse with a lack of it.
