Can only echo that, the fans & the club owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude.

Steve Middleton will forever have my gratitude, he stood up and was counted when the chips were down and started the ball rolling of ousting the dark lord.

Thank you Steve for everything you have done for Mansfield Town, I'm sure us fans will make sure you never have to pay for a beer if you step foot into the SPB on a matchday.

Agree. I met him in London and he was a lovely bloke.

Thanks Steve.

The statement fails to explain the reason for the restructure, or the benefits that it will bring.
So that strikes me that there has either been a big bust up over something, or this is part of a 'scaling down' programme.

Maybe Midd thinks that having been on the board for 12 years & having turned 60 he's done his bit.

You were right belly.

Try this:-
Steve Middleton feels he’s done all he can and wants more time at home at this stage of his life.

Mark Hawkins doesn’t have the money for the required directors investment, so has stepped own.

Tina and Paul Broughton don’t want to have to pay two lots of investment so one has also stepped down.

No big drama, no falling out.
Cause youth’s a mask, and it don’t last.

You just beat me to it, Big Yella,

All current directors, henceforth, will pledge a personal investment into the club this year.

How dare you come on here and post pure uniformed speculation that sounds extremely feasible and no cause for alarm

Big yella very well thought out and makes perfect sense.

Be interesting to know how much they are putting into the club. Assume it will be an equal investment based on existing holdings so that current ownership isn't diluted in anyway and therefore put through as equity as opposed to increasing long term debt - usually the easiest way.
