The Last 365 Days as a Stags Fan

Postby milne6 » Sun Feb 02, 2020 7:46 am

Sorry for the depressing post!!!! but been looking over some stats..

So, a year ago today (2/2/19) we had just beaten Macclesfield at home 3-1 thanks to goals from Grant, Pearce and Walker. We were sitting 2nd in League two with 58 points from 31 games, 2 points from the leaders Lincoln on 60pts and 7 points infront of Forest Green Rovers, in 4th on 51pts.
Since that game, this is how the next 46 Leagues games (48 incl. playoffs) played out..

Played – 48
Wins – 12
Draws – 15 (13 excluding the 2 draws from playoffs)
Lost - 21
Points - 51 (49 excluding the 2 draws from playoffs making it a 46 game season)

2018-19
Played – 17
Wins – 5
Draws – 5
Lost - 7

2019-20
Played – 31
Wins – 7
Draws – 10
Lost - 14

Home Form
Played - 24
Wins – 7
Draws – 7
Lost - 10

Away Form
Played - 24
Wins – 5
Draws – 8
Lost – 11

Just looking at the last 9 or 10 league tables, 49 points would of had us relegated in 2013/14 and 2012/13 seasons..

Yeah it’s depressing, also highlights the weaknesses in the constant factor (the players) through that period.

I bet it’s particularly scary if you compare it to the form that got us near the top of the table this time last year!

How many 2-2 draws?
Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.
