Mellis despite his attitude was a class above anything during his time here compared to what we have here at the minute.

Think he would do well with Clarke along side him.

It's mainly because of the mindset of the some. If not most, of our fans. A player is only as good as his last bad game. We see it all the time. Best example is jake Buxton left us with most saying he was crap. Went to Burton and then went to Derby and stayed in the championship for year. In fact he's still in league one at 35 as a play-manager. Some people will just declare him invredibly lucky.

With the exception of Ben Whiteman all of those players left with, shall we say, "mixed" reviews. We don't give players time never have done. Another example. 2 seasons ago there were calls for Tyler walker to shipped back off to forest because he was no good. Granted, these threads were started by Norman but he still had people agreeing with him when he went 7 games without a goal at one point. Too many times players are written off early and then every mistake they make gets highlighted.

You have the flipside to that with fans favourites. Last season Pearce got support after making a ton of mistakes, yet any other defender gets slaughtered for them.

We treat some players so badly they write something on social media that wasn't nice to us and goes on to have a good career. All because ethey couldn't give him time to learn from mistakes.

Not sure you can include all of those in the 'not good enough for us' category.
3 of them were only on loan from higher division clubs, 1 left due to off field issues, and another was signed by a Championship club.

Agreed, can remember Walker having great game at home... scored and people sat around us were slagging him off constantly.

Happens with multiple players. Especially if a player goes to a bigger club in the league above...

My 1.00pm kick off game was Franchise FC v Gillingham. Stuff Everton v Liverpool. It was a comfortable 2-0 win for bottom side, MKDonalds FC against Steve Evans' Gillingham side who were 4th. Jacob Mellis had an excellent game for Gillingham last week against Oxford United. He scored the second goal and was involved in the build up for the third goal. However he reported ill last night so he was replaced by skipper Kyle Dempsey returning from injury. Alex MacDonald was on the bench again but did not make it on to the pitch.

Cameron Jerome scored the first goal on his debut and Carlton Morris scored the second. I thought the two wing backs, Regan Poole and Dan Harvie played well for MK along with Louis Thompson in midfield. They do take big risks playing out from the back. Keeper Lee Nicholls nearly got caught in possession a few times. I thought Jordan Graham was the best Gillingham player. Enjoyed Steve Evans going mental when Dominic Samuels was barged over in area by Dean Lewington but no penalty awarded.
