No its you that seems to be struggling Dan, they hadn't been training since the club last failed to pay them. That was on October 31st. Partly because they hadn't been paid but mainly because they weren't insured. We played them on November 16th. If you think that that is training as much as they would've done normally then its no wonder you thought Demspter should have been kept on.

Best midfielder we've had for ages. Wish we'd have been able to sign him permanently.

Ben played that well, Joel Byrom, got a contract on the back of his performances.

I've got neck ache from watching Keith Curle's Northampton Town including Paul Anderson play Derby County in the FA Cup on BT Sport. Lots of free kicks and long throws getting pumped into the box aimed at the heads of Vadaine Oliver, Andy Williams, Jordan Turnbull, Charlie Goode etc. Vadaine Oliver had a couple of good chances early on. Charlie Goode should have been sent off in the first half for a professional foul and ended up getting Man of the Match. Finished 0-0.

T'is results that count, I wish we'd have made round 4 and been at home on telly to t'rams got a replay and in the hat for rnd 5. Instead our lot put put up the white flag at 10 man Shrewsbury who now face Livarpool

Have to say well done to the Shrews. Great entertainment. The big Prem clubs should never get their wish of no replays in the FA Cup. A million quid Shrews'll make from Anfield and good luck to em.

Coulda been us.

Agree about replays, moaning dicks, Liverpool basically fielded a second eleven today, in fact it was valuable match practice for Lovren, the most useless centre half in the world, which he then went on to prove. The FA Cup was destroyed by Man Utd and will probably never recover, once they decided to opt out, the competition was devalued and they and the raspberries in the FA are responsible.

Loved the chant "Shopshire County Cup, you'll never win that" when the scousers sang the champions of the world song. I'm not a fan of any Prem side, but I am absolutely loving the discomfort of the entitled Man Utd fans, who have never stepped foot in Lancs let alone had a pint of Boddingtons. For that alone, and for the many thousands of missing Man Utd and Man City fans (the fire drill has now ended lads) for whom I am deeply worried, I hope Liverpools title success is confirmed soon.

I say myself if the Prem clubs want no replays and are away at a smaller club then certain conditions should be attatched.
1. If on telly the smaller team has all the telly/radio/media revenue.
2. The smaller club keep all the gate reciepts less the FA's cut.
3. If they choose to play kids (and not say 8 of the starting 11 from the last Prem game)
and it goes to pens the smaller club has a one goal start in the shoot out.(not much good to us I know ;))

It has to be that the competition gives more to the clubs that care about the comp and need the money to survive

Give a Champions League spot to the winners & they'll take it seriously.

Although, since the start of the EPL how many teams from outside the top 6 have won the FA Cup? I can only think of Wigan & Pompey off the top of my head, so the big fish could argue that they take it seriously enough.
