Whatever happened to Adam Murray’s pitchside warm-up/warm-down exercise bikes?

Sports science is a massive industry these days. There is no excuse for a professional who needs a certain level of fitness not to be at that particular level. It’s grounds for dismissal. They should pass certain tests to prove this level.

They should be worked hard in pre season to reach the required level then continuity training during the season should keep them there, along with actually playing games.

If players are not this fit at this stage of the season it’s a dual responsibility of the staff and players to rectify it.
GC stated that he’s going to train them hard but leave enough in the tank for the game.

Sounds like we aren’t there yet. That’s criminal from the previous regime.

Fitness is very subjective.Sometimes you can overtrain and not be fit enough to be effective.I have seen players train too hard and run out of steam on a matchday. The training staff should understand that.
