I know him by face mate, but not name if I did it would be on here in capital letters.

His name is David, got thrown out last season by stewards for getting involved in something that was not his business

Is it the front row hero who used to post on here?

Sorry to hijack the thread,

Lots of increasing talk our end that Cook is coming back to Tranmere

Not sure what has happened with him with you, he was excellent for us so surprised he is not playing regularly for you

Khan to Gillingham, Pearce to Salford, Logan coaching somewhere, Cook to Tranmere, Mellis to Smith Street Social Club. Will we have enough players for next Saturday?

Smith Street pulled out of deal saying a tenner too much for him.

If you are talking about Front Row Hero, he knows more about football than most of you!

Over the past three years we had had no problem in attracting quality players at the top of their game to Mansfield.
Cook and Maynard should be a dream front two for any league 2 club.
I am concerned that these episodes could have a detrimental effect on future signings.
If both were to leave within their first year then our club could suffer with some sort of stigma surrounding future deals?

It doesn't matter how much he knows about football. If he abuses players like that then he doesn't only know nothing about football, he also knows nothing about how to behave in life.

Chortle. Knowing how many times Terry cooper played for Leeds does not excuse anyone abusing a player before a game.

No it wasn"t frontrow hero, but the object abusing a.c. got involved when front row hero was being ejected. Dave as he is called is a season ticket holder and i have seen him walking his dog round Sutton res.He sits on row` n about seat 65 i.g.lower tier. he is usually in Sandy"s at half time spouting rubbish to anyone who will listen to him.He does look like Selwyn Froggart.

Definitely wasn’t our very own Front Row Hero.

Everyone knows that Front Row has the decency to wait until the whistle is blown before he like to ‘critique the Assistant Referee’s performance’.

I am Spartacus wrote:Today, just before kick off I witnessed a new low from a ‘stags fan’. As Andy Cook came out prior to the first team he subjected to abuse, telling him he was ‘Hank’ for want of a better phrase. Cooky stood turned asked what he said and he repeated.

Cooky, despite looking like he would rip this fan a new one, walked away. A few, Big Yella included, apologised to him on behalf of the fans. He was not happy though.

What kind of fan, in the loosest sense of the word, thinks that by personally, directly and venomously abusing a player that the player will give his all.

Personally up until this moment I had a great deal of respect for this fan though as of now, will be treated with contempt.

Andy, on behalf of the thousand of true Stags fans everywhere please accept this apology.

And some fans wonder why our players don't want to be on pitch

Some seem to be nurturing the same mentality the likes of Buxton et al suffered all those years ago. It's a toxic atmosphere that will accelerate our demise, and while everyone knows the players can do better, hurling abuse at them only serves to undermine their confidence and willingness to play here even further

The abuse to Cook and now to Mal Benning just shows what kind of people are in society nowadays. We should all take comfort that 99% of people are indeed decent human beings and stand united against these morons.

As far as I’m concerned Benning has been a fabulous servant of this club and I hope someone does get that Indian flag flying for the next home game. There aren’t many better attacking fullbacks at this level.

Just putting this out there for discussion but does anyone think there’s a correlation between this sort of thing and the home form record ?

It's like bishop might have been right, that the toxic home atmosphere has a negative effect on the players
