Mellis I can understand but Pearce I don’t get.

They've both stunk the place out this season.

Shame about KP to end his time with us like this. Mellis will be quickly forgotten.

Krystian Pearce has been a brilliant player for us over the years.

Unfortunately he was left completely disillusioned after realising Dempster was an absolute clown, and now we’ve lost a solid defender.

He hasn’t had a good year, but that goes for the entire team and it’s due to a weak appointment in the summer.

He’s not been interested all season, if you read the reports from round the club you’d probably understand why he’s been told to leave.

I now understand who Flitcroft was on about when he identified 3 players who were running the club

County will be sniffing for Pearce. Depends if he is willing to drop. Pearce too inconsistent for League 1 IMO

I think Mellis may struggle to get a League One contract but Pearce may be taken on by a club at a higher level or L2 promotion seeker. They have both failed to impress this season, Pearce's drop in form and presence has been seismic

He is paid a lot of money to perform and if it was as you describe then he needs to leave anyway. His attitude has not sung of being a club captain.

Been saying mellis had a poor attitude for a while so absolutely delighted he is finally being shipped out. Pearce is a bang average league 2 defender so no loss.

Good.

Might sound harsh on Pearce but the changes have to start somewhere. These two might be the ones causing unrest behind the scenes.

Trust coughlan decisions.

Exactly. I've actively despised some of the dickheads I've worked for. (Though they all spoke highly of me  )

I'm guessing in his first full week of training GC has seen things he doesn't like from 2 of the rumoured bad apples.

Pearce was one of if not the best centre half in the league last year, so that last statement is a little bit silly.

Shame about them both, but can’t blame them if they’re no longer interested.

Pearce has been a good player, but is past his time, sad he has gone like this but happy that we can search for a much better replacement, which considering his form won’t be hard

Pearce was the best defender in L2 last season.

This all boils down to the terrible appointment of Dempster. Fact is he didn’t have a clue and that resulted in the entire team performing well below par.

Now the better players like Pearce and Mellis are being told they can leave cos they probably lost their rag under Dempster and we’re p***ing about at the bottom of the league, and instead we’re left with absolute rubbish like Preston, Bishop, Macca, Tomlinson, Rose because they run around a lot.

But that will please the Danny Rose/workhorse fan base perfectly.

Pearce might get L1 but not Mellis.

Said a few weeks ago there was a reason they were not been used. Obviously the bad eggs in the group. Coughlan is right to clear them out if that is the case.

Maybe JDs poor performance was at least in part to players with a raspberries attitude undermining him at every turn. Ever considered that?

FACTS.

If you buy into the ‘they’re professionals, they should do the job under any manager’ line then you lack the understanding that that’s not how it works in football. They were enthused, stretched and most of all, part of a good side under Flitcroft. Bringing Dempster in did away with all that.

That’s John Radford’s fault for thinking John Dempster could manage good players with big personalities. Ever considered that?

Dempster was hopeless, the squad will have known that and seen straight through it. That’s Dempsters problem.

The better players will have had enough and the ‘hard workers’ like Bishop, Rose, Macca, Who aren’t good enough then get in the team and then it continues to go downhill.
