Or at least you’d think it was reading some of the comments on here since the Grimsby game!

Lighten up.

This season is dead. People need to accept it, suck it up and wait it out. No one wanted this season to be this disappointing but it is...

Having removed one manager already, this one needs January and the Summer to implement things his way. The time for judgement is 10/15 games into next season.

The season was dead the minute JD was given the job everyone bar the board could see it , ridiculous decision and the season fell flat before it started .

True but we are where we are. At this point everyone continuing to rage about everything isn't going to actually achieve anything.

Yes appointing JD was a mistake but its done and over. Are you expecting some kind of hand written apology from JR?

Couldn’t agree more.

Judge him after 10/15 games of next season ,my god have a look at the mess he has to clear up ,its going to take longer than that to get virtually a new side together ,there are only a few who aren,t out of contract in the summer He needs a complete rebuild ,fans want success but need to be patient ,if he achieves anything next season great ,but he does not need unrealistic pressure

Patience, bloody heck! In the time we've been languishing in Lge 2 Brovers, Looooun, Tranny n t'Imps have come up from t'mud pit and waved bye, bye as they've cracked on up the leagues. For all our supposed budget we've bin treadin water too long. Patience is wearing thin

Of course not. Just an improvement in the way he recruits managers.

I think patience has tried to be exercised by most supporters but it is difficult when the Radfords keep going on about promotion and laterly the play offs.

Maybe we all agree, at least those of us with at least half a brain, the play offs are pie in the sky but there are still plenty of games where we can see just what our new management team have in their tank with a view to new players and how next season could pan out.

Wish GC luck in his first week on the training ground, hope he can instill something into what's proving to be a very poor group of players.

The best we can really hope for this season is to stabilise, maybe get 1 or 2 in during the january transfer window and go from there, win some games and get some confidence

If we can get the season on a positive it will be a bonus.

He’ll be able to get rid of the donkies like Preston and macca in one of the windows anyway.

We should be aiming to do what Crewe, and to a lesser extent Exeter and Swindon did in the last 10/20 games of last season. Crewe picked up 1.9ppg in the last ten games of the season and has continued that into this season. Swindon picked up 1.55ppg over the last 20 games which is pretty much play-off form. Exter picked up 1.5ppg over the last 10 games which is almost play-off form. Take the momentum into next season.

As soon as the play offs are realistically out of reach we should start playing the youth players on the bench and in the youth team. Give them a few games to see if they will ever make the grade when there's no pressure. What have we got to loss and we may find a gem. Then with less playing opportunities for the current first team players they may improve their game because they want to look good for the coming transfer market .

We need the manager to think outside the box to improve the team for next year. Play off the wall formations to see the reaction. Five in defence (who stay in defence) and five up front (who stay up front). What would we have to loss.

I know our midfield is usually non-existent but I'm not sure the solution is not having one.

It could be argued that we’ve underachieved in every season since we came back up bar the first season back, when we finished in a very respectable 11th place. Absolutely no cup runs or cup upsets since we’ve come back up too. We don’t seem to be a club that ever overachieves.

Agreed. One set of Stags fans like to lambaste the other for having a 'false sense of entitlement' but in reality, it's that we're not happy to be mediocre, or failing the objectives, whatever they may be.

Generally speaking the table as it is now is roughly how it will finish. The top 10 at this point is generally the same top 10 at the end of the season. I think Dan pointed out Exeter managed to climb higher a few seasons back after a disastrous start but that's the exception, not the "rule".

People say we were crap after new year last year yet we only dropped 2 places. We need a run like Paul Cox had to get anything even remotely play offs. Look at the league table, Swindon are the only side who have rezched the magic 50 points needed to avoid relegation.

This season is a write off. Has been since November. I'd like us to go one a winning run until the end of the season, I just can't see it happening.
