So if bish hasn't started running until today, he needs to be cleared by the doctor on thursday. The protocol means light exercise today, "football specific exercise" tomorrow, non-contact training on thursday (followed by clearance by a doctor) and the full contact training on Friday, then he's clear to play Saturday.

So, following protocol, bish won't train properly until Friday.

In a nutshell the protocol is: once concussion is diagnosed they rest until symptom free.
Then a minimum 24 hour period where he can only do light exercise,
That's followed by another 24 hour period where he can do fooball-specific exercise (eg leg work at the gym),
Then it's another 24 hour period where he can only do non-contact training (eg passing and moving (stop sniggering at the back ;))) then a doctor gives him a once over and decides if he can move onto full contact training.
If given the all clear he needs a minimum 24 hours in full training and after this is clear to play, providing he continues to show he's over it.

He motivates them (or doesn't it seems)
He picks the team
He trains them
He tells them how to play

A good footballer should do as instructed. Would you be happy if your team didn't then carry out your instructions when its your job on the line?

These players can work harder, we know that as we've seen it. The fact they aren't now speaks volumes. Yes they should always try hard regardless of how they feel about the manager but in the real world when your not happy in your job (because of tactics or whatever in this case) your effort drops.

The blame lies at Dempsters door for how the team is performing. The blame for having a manager incapable of getting his team to perform lies squarely at the board.

Totally agree with your points Jamie. Theses players whether under Evans or Flitcroft we’re up in the playoffs or top 3, now we find ourselves in 18th nearly half way through season, that’s no coincidence.

We’ve already had “we’ve turned a corner”, then cup games were a “spring board”, and now him and the players have had a “honest, open chat about performances and this season”. So what happens if we don’t see a reaction from players on Saturday? Clearly the players aren’t playing for him, so if John Radford is sticking with him, then we could be in serious trouble.

It seems to me that, if JR sticks with JD, then he has to sack a big chunk of the squad, and give the manager a meaningful acquisition budget, to find players that WILL play for him, the club and the fans.

I may be wrong but are most of the players out of contract in the summer with many not having an option of a contract extension?
