He was... I can only assume because Benning was so poor on Tuesday. Hard to justifying leaving the armband on someone who could barely muster the effort to kick his penalty properly.

Drew Broughton wanted to be captain but he couldn't workout how to get the arm band over his head

They put the armband in a hat and take turns in trying NOT to pick it out, just happens Sweeney had been to the bog and got last pick.

Sweeney has been one of the better players recently.We don't have a leader in the team like George Foster or a shouter like Mcguire.

Add to that, the lack of a leader off the pitch.

If Rose was fully fit I would give him the armband as he is one of the few still trying 100% followed by Macca.
