just unbelievable... I do think JD has to go but your previous comments do you no credit. Who can help feeling for the man ….his stress was evident in the post match interview.
Are you really suggesting SE would be a good choice?

Where have I had a dig at JD this time? I said "Clarke or Evans please", and though I doubt either would come, they would both be an improvement on JD. A huge improvement.

As for this doing me no credit, I just don't get. I didn't comment on JD, or his stress levels. You just respond to my comments having taken full offence and sometimes reply about things I haven't even said!

For some reason, you have me singled out in your crosshairs. Often saying that my comments are 'absolutely disgraceful', when they are actually pretty reasonable.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Someone like Simon Grayson would be my choice

Since his initial success at Blackpool Grayson has done nothing anywhere else he has been....Leeds Sunderland Preston....and it's only going back to Blackpool has seen him start to do something again. Smacks of a one club guy.

Are we just letting this go?

Do some research Chris. He has won promotion with four teams. Blackpool, Leeds, Huddersfield and Preston. Not bad for a one club guy.

Absolutely humble pie and apologies. I genuinely thought he hadn't done anything after Blackpool. Apologies for the mistake. Love to blame it on the anticipation of this afternoon at Field Mill clouding my memory but it was just me! !

Apologies accepted :D

When/if the axe falls and John goes it seems we can't afford to headhunt. Going to have to be the advertize and interview method with someone caretakering.
There'll be folk out there begging for a chance to get the chance to move into management. You as employer lay down what they need to achieve to stay in post. Contracts are up for discussion after they've proved they can handle t'job. If they want it they'll come. Who we'd get apply is anyones guess, but the ball (demands of the deal ) should be in our court.

Theirs but to do and die

I have no more insight than the rest of us, but given the hugely disrespectful way the Evans left us for The Peoples Republic of Peterborough, I’d be absolutely astonished if the Directors were to re-appoint this truly awful individual.

So anyone who leaves to improve themselves for whatever reason would not be welcomed back ? Even though 100's have done it
Better not employ anyone with AMBITION

Is Peterborough bettering himself? When he left we were in the play offs, many claim he would have got us promoted, we would have been in the same league as Peterborough.

There was no jobs available in China at the time. The guy lied to try and save his new employers some cash on compensation fees payable to us. He only ever managed to finish 12th whilst here. He's had touchline and stadium bans at other clubs. Dodgy dealings to get Boston promoted.

He did nothing at Peterborough, who the season after he left, are currently sat 3rd in league 1. Funny that, he arrives at a club, overspends, does nothing and the leaves and then the club do well in the league. Similar thing happened here. I wonder if there's any expensive dead wood at Peterborough taking up wages like there was here last season?

Posh were very close to the play-offs in League One, of course it was a step up.

There’s no deadwood at Posh because whether you like Fry and DMac or not, they know what they’re doing when it comes to handing out contracts, unlike here.

They were close to play offs but, ultimately, he managed to get them midtable. He was sacked after 3 wins in 13 last season. He's currently in the bottom half of league 1. He's stepped up and made posh worse because they are now flying high after he's gone.

I did say I wonder if there was any expensive dead wood at Peterborough. I'm sure there were some, there always is when a new manager comes in with a different outlook on the game. I do remmeber Fry and Dmac say he wanted to spend spend spend but they put a stop to it. Why would we want Evans back if our board are incapable of saying no? DF wanted overnight stays, SE wanted 6 right wingers.

I was answering the question as to whether he was bettering himself by going to Posh instead of staying here, to which the answer is clearly yes. What he did when he got there is not relevant to that question.
