I said right at the start that Dempster would struggle in this area in the future despite CR getting Andy Cook and Nicky Maynard.
Rumours about the state of the club will have circulated and can you really see anyone except last chance saloon guys coming in January if Dempster is still here.
Messrs Jones and Tisdale would open a lot of doors.

But who'd come even then to a struggling relegation threatened team other than journey men and last pay day boys. The better players will be wanting to fighting at the top end of table not bottom. Unless silly money was offered why would they come? Not just for the pleasure of playing for PT or NJ

We don't need loads of players in just a manager that knows what yo do with the talented players we have. 4th last season. Add 2 proven goalscorers. Quality of league nowhere near as good as last season. Swindon go from mid table to top with one loan signing. Sorry to keep banging on but Flitcroft would have this squad top 3 easily.

DF made a criminal mistake in not getting us promoted when he had two of the best chances we've had in bloody years.

And in addition the football we were playing from County away onwards was well below the required standard. It wasn't attractive and there was no urgency apart from the odd game. Yes he had a purple spell of about 4 months but that was it. The rest was average at best. No thanks.

What's not to say we'd be in the same position in the table as we are now even if DF was still manager. Look at the form from January, he couldn't stop the slide in April & May, why do people think he would've stopped it now? We were always going to lose Tyler Walker, signing Maynard & Cook were two of the best signings made by any club at the time in our league, I'm not sure what more DF could do. Granted the football may have been a bit better (probably not much as it had started to go downhill anyway) but apart from that?
