Plenty of free parking around the ground.

We parked in The Merlin last time and all they wanted was a donation to charity

Swindon Town manager Richie Wellens previews his side's League Two clash with Mansfield Town
By Jonathan Leighfield, Friday 22 November 2019
https://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/spo ... ty-ground/

Good afternoon everyone and welcome to our press conference live blog.
We are due to be sitting down with manager Richie Wellens.

ON MANSFIELD TOWN

RW says it was an 'unbelievable decision' to sack previous manager David Flitcroft.

Manager is aware of the strengths Mansfield have and says they are a very good team who should be doing better than they are.

ON DOYLE AND YATES

RW says he has a plan to deal with or without Doyle-Yates just in case the worst happens.

The manager says the club has dealt with this worry for weeks now, nothing will change until or if it happens.

Has Donahue signed?

Yes. Until the end of the season. Fresh out of the manager's mouth.

Some of the thread veered off to politics, so cannot judge.

Just a fiver at the fire station opposite the ground but numbers limited.

It's a bit of mind games. He's pointing out Flitcroft shouldn't have been sacked and we should be higher in the table. Puts pressure on the players and manager.

You may ask why he feels the need to play mind games. Right now, with our form and league position, we are a side who could nick the point(s). It's all good though, I'm sure Drewe is on it. He'll be telling the players that Wellens is wrong and that his other coaching mates said they're rubbish, so all is good. Also telling the midfield they're the best advanced defensive midfielders in the league. They're also the only ones, but that's just semantics.

;) :)

Does he want to be our new manager?
His thoughts on us and how we are under achieving rings a bell.
Maybe we will try glen hoddle next who did save Clucas career.

Or just maybe he's very clever and realises we could win if we turn up and his excuse is stated

I bet on Swindon to win league at start of season. Haven’t changed my mind but as a stags fan hope they don’t hammer us.

Dan I’ve seen more than enough games this season to go into Saturday at 3pm with next to no hope.

I’d love us to rock up today and take the points but I just can’t see it. Swindon are on fire as well
