The Winning Formula

Postby BilsthorpeStag » Wed Nov 13, 2019 12:34 pm

It's not the playing away that seems to deliver a result, it's what John wears. At home, he looks like some bloke that's been dragged off the terraces and asked to manager our team for the game. As a result, we lose. When we play away, John opts for the tracksuit and we get a result.

Problem solved, let's move on. Tongue firmly planted in my cheek!

Wore my scarf for the first time in years on Saturday and we won. I'll keep wearing it from now on. Trying to cover every angle to help us climb the table!

Bloody jumpers!!! I had to wear old socks on my arms when the holes in the feet got too big to darn and were just the right size for my hands to fit through. We lashed them across the chest using twisted cob webs so they didn't fall off when we slept in the outside bog rafters.

Come off it! We’re still wearing shell-suits in Mansfield.

Good point. My son, who is actually a proper southerner, complained all the time at Walsall how cold he was! I told him that wasn’t properly cold.

Our Katherine who was brought up in the Village, who incidentally we took up to Yorkshire and Northumberland October/February half term weeks for many a year and who is esconced now in London complains bitterly about bedroom windows being open when she comes back home!

I got rid of my lucky underpants a long time ago btw ;)
