I agree with all of this aside from Rose, I’d still start Cook. How refreshing it would be to see this midfield play instead of having to endure watching the likes of Bishop and Macca clogging everything up again.

I don’t think Dempster would have the bottle to drop Bishop and Macca. Although I don’t think Bishop warrants a start at the moment.

EDIT: Forgot to add that the reason behind that is if it doesnt work we can switch to 4-4-2 very easily, rather than wait until the 75th minute for the first sub and shape change, like most games this season.

If we haven't scored after an hour bring on Cooky and go 3 up top, maybe sacrificing Mellis depending on match fitness

Would have liked to have started with 3 up front but couldn't decide on a midfield - I appreciate White might be injured, I guess I would play Gordan although I think he's not that great at defending if I'm honest.

Mellis should start on Saturday but I don’t think he will drop Bishop or Macca. He so deserves a place in that negative midfield that has been decidedly weak in the league games.
