With the transfer window 5 weeks away negotiations for players will be taking place now and I think it much more likely that's what they were discussing.
My gut feeling is that in scenario, it is most likely to be White. He was signed by Evans for a big fee and doesn't seem settled at the moment.
I may be very wide of the mark in this but think it more feasible than Evans returning as manager.
Gillingham haven't got money to spend on transfer fees I don't think, most of their business was done on frees on loans in the summer. Whites been pretty much injured since his leg break and his come back has had many a setback. He doesn't 'seem settled' because he's been injured for about a year,.
Maybe they just went for a drink together?
