Good that we are in the second round draw.
Good to hear Logan playing well yet again.

I don't think I've ever felt so bad about a win.

It wasn't like Chorley even came to park the bus, we were just that bad. A remotely decent Conference side would have had our pants down today.

That will probably happen in the next round :)

Football is a confidence game and this side seems to react to levels of confidence than most. This is nothing new as the signs have been there for around two years now.

When they are really confident, they are unstoppable but when confidence is low their form drops to unacceptable levels and they bear no resemblance to the confident team. I think this is bourne out by the difference in home and away performances so far this season and I'm not sure how this will be changed. Perhaps a change of manager will do the trick but maybe it won't

What we mustn't do is turn the atmosphere so toxic that we drop into uncontrolable free fall. I know that it is hard not to shout and boo the players but consider the effect the pressure is already having on confidence.

Reminded me of the 3-2 win against Alfreton in the conference when we got a last minute winner. Didn’t think a win would get that bad, but it did today.

Yes the atmosphere was toxic but its because everyone was baffled as to why, any one (or more) of CJ, Mellis or OSJ didnt start.

We were impotent. Side to side and backwards. Nothing from the midfield, naff all from Macca. Khan tried but we lacked width, tempo, movement up front, quality when we did attempt crosses or balls in. What a joke we have become.

We arent a good passing side. We arent then direct or pressing. We just turn up, knock it about in safe areas. Do just enough to make a few chances but then have no quality or real desire to make something happen.

Starting two defensive midfielders today was a joke. Dempster has shown he doesn't have a clue. Mellis needs game time, ten minutes. TEN... when were struggling to unlock a side we should beat 9/10 times.

Time for someone who actually has a plan. Has a style of play and who can help our players improve. The crossing ability of our full backs - the only two wide players we use - is simply not up to professional standards.

Again, couldn’t agree more.

Absolutely bang on. Pound for pound the worst manager in my 45 years. Yes we've had managers turn out some awful teams. But all they had was free transfers of has beens or never going to be. This is the 4th best squad in 50 years and massively under achieving because of one man. Will have to go eventually. Why wait till things go really bad.

What concerns me is that there are fans out there actually happy with that, and I worry the board will be the same.

Anyone with that view would be highly simplistic at best.

If we play like that against Macclesfield next week we will lose.

If Conrad doesn’t make that save and we’d lost 1-0, there’d be uproar. While a win is a win, it shouldn’t paper over the fact that we are not attractive to watch and won’t be pulling in the casual fan, me included, any time soon. Change is needed.

Appalling performance, I realise Bishop is not last seasons Bishop and that he makes poor passes etc but he is the only one who constantly makes tackles and never, that's never gives up.

You can't blame the strikers, if we played until midnight they wouldn't get a decent ball in the box.

The manager is way, way out of his depth and what incidentally does Glover do?

Funny ,that about Glover, after 20 games I'm still trying to work that out. He is a bigger waste of space than the manager.

Bishop's absolutely stank the place out today with his attitude. In the first half his passing was terrible and then when he finally played a decent ball he immediately cupped his ear towards the fans. Then at the end, when the fans booed, he gestured towards the west stand and told them to shut up. Worst of all was his back and forth with the Chorley number 9, who he tangled with a few times. At one point they squared up and he started wafting his nose as if to say their player had bad breath. Childish nonsense. We need better quality and a better attitude from our senior players.
