Agreed, Was there really any need to resort to childish idiotic name calling?
The post resembles something written by a 10 year old having a tantrum.

Jesus lads. He’s a big boy, I don’t think he’s going to be bothered by a few people calling him Dumpster. and if he is, he should tell the teacher next time it happens.

Was flipflop, used most of last season ok then?

Yeh - it’s really bright to call people names

I'm not suggesting for a second that it's 'bright' to childishly call people names.

But what I am suggesting is that it's utterly pathetic to get hung up on a few people calling him Dumpster. I think (and would hope) he'd be more concerned with his on-field failings. You probably should be too.

I have no real faith in JR or his board to make the right call. JDs appointment was a mistake but with them not watching us or being there day to day, the likes of Hymas are there and hes JDs biggest fan.

Was a play off season a wasted season? Granted we didn't go up but it was Cox's first full season. DR was only here for half a season.

As for the board, they are in control and make the decisions. It seems like the best course of action is ask Hymas what we should do and then do the opposite  unless it's a decision on how a building should be built.

In all seriousness though, it's not easy being on the board. As fans we can sit here with hindsight and say they should have done this or that but they don't have that benefit when making the decisions. The whole board would, if given the chance, go back and reverse the decision to appoint Dempster. But even if they could and did do that then there are no guarantees that we would be in any different position than we are now.

Next games in November... ignoring the cups

Burton, who cares.. play the youth?

Chorley... Should win easy might not be.. a loss and he has to be sacked.

Maccelsfield Away... poor side with no money, players not paid again.. We have to be winning this.

Swindon Away... currently 3rd, Donohue one of their best players... Will probably rip us apart...

2nd round of the cup, and an unlikely 6 points away means at the end of November we could be around the playoffs if results go our way.

2nd round of the cup or out, likely point away at macc and defeat to high flying swindon and we could be down to 21st/22nd.

With December coming up that includes games against...

Cheltenham 6th
Crewe 4th
Northampton 9th
Port Vale 10th
Bradford 2nd

Feel like if we don't get someone experienced in now we could be in massive trouble come Christmas.

Swindon will be his last game.

I've cut him some slack after the recent run but yesterday proved he will never be good enough. We were so far behind a mid table Colchester. 5 nil would not of flatted then. This is probably the 4th best squad in my lifetime behind Dave Smiths 70s side, the team built by Ian Greaves and the one Billy Dearden happened upon. We have a squad full of individual talent at league Two level that tha manager has know idea how to get them to play as a team. They looked clueless yesterday not knowing what their jobs were or how the team should be playing with the ball. No pressing, no where near enough to get a tackle in. Colchester went through us like a knife through bitter at will. Don't get me started on 11 men in our own six yard box when the opposition have a throw in in our half. 45 years of going to Field Mill through thick and thin and often thinner. Even managers like Holdsworth and Russell I kept going, but 3 month of the most enept tactics with a talented squad has sucked all those years out passion for MTFC out of me. I even applauded Colchester second goal because it was so enevitable we were going to lose anyway. It seems the only way we can get JR to see past the Hymas project is to vote with our feet. Not even an Haslam boycott stopped me going, but my time has come. Its so frustrating knowing we have the players to be at the top end of this league being held back by an amateur manager. With a heavy heart I won't be attending another game until we do the obvious.

I agree with you, but it's happened many times at Field Mill, to most managers when things are not going well.

In the relegation season Bill Dearden was called Dipsy Dearden.

JD was worth a try and I supported the club in appointing him but did feel in my gut it was not the best move but u go with JR and CR flow as they have the cash and the hands on the steering wheel.
Its not worked out and although I don't think we will go down we will struggle to make the top spots this season under JD

Its now a gamble of how many more games they give him
A win against Chorley and Macca would of course settle things down again for a few weeks but long term u have to be brutally honest and say its not looking good for us and it will be a season of nothing with maybe only the hope of playing Clownty again next time around.

Wow, forget that then.
Two very good managers available in Tisdale and Jones, two lower league teams will benefit from their experience as they will not be on the shelf long.

I just accepted that we're poor this season.

My vociferous anger toward this appointment died down when I realised that

A. The season was a total write off
B. That he wouldn't ever get the sack

Sacking him for football reasons is pointless now because we won't challenge and we won't be in big trouble of getting relegated.

The reason to sack him would be to appease fans who are now primarily against the manager who are getting very discontented.

By not sacking him now, Radford is almost sticking 2 fingers up at the fans.

It would be a good time to get a new manager in. Most are already resigned to the season being a write off, so a new gaffer won’t have immediate pressure to get us up this season. He would have 2 months to assess before January, and then has the second half of the season to put his stamp on things and get ready for the summer before we reset for next season. If he could salvage anything from the season after this dreadful start it’s a bonus.

Get a manager in who has some proper credentials, can actually coach and improve the players, and can implement a proper playing style.

Yeh you're right. But without being in absolute peril of being relegated, the board may just want to continue bumbling along with this experiment.

You could say give Dempster til March, then give a new manager the back end of the season to assess.

I'm not sure the board are concerned as we are.

Looks that way AWC with no announcement this morning. Just hope they recognise the apathy and soulless state of Field Mill at each progressive game as the crowds start to drop

The Board need to make a statement, its either project promotion or following the famous Colchester model (= season over).

They can’t come out now and say it’s a building process for Dempster and move the goalposts considerably.

He inherited a squad that was good enough to compete in the top 7 at least, he had a full summer and signed 40 goals on paper with his strikers. We’ve been told 3 times the objective was automatic promotion and these players don’t become poor overnight. If we shift the aim it’s an admission that the manager isn’t good enough.

Even if they move the goal posts we would still lose with our defence.
