Beaten by a conference north team

Postby PEAR CIDER » Tue Oct 22, 2019 8:49 pm

Simply not good enough

Macca i imagine will be replaced by gordon when white is fit should we stick 442
Logon stopped in no mans land again for the 1st
Heads dropped as we wernt 1 up after 15mins
Didnt come alive until last 15
110% should have beaten them. They were woeful.
I think maybe expectation is too high

No way can you critisise Logan for the goal.

I can and i will.... watch it back. Your mind will change. He came out, hesitated and stopped.

Im not necessarilly saying he should have saved it... but stopping gave him the angle to slot home

Maybe he’s giving dempster time.

Maybe this season we should pretty much give up any hope of anything decent, watch us be bottom half league 2 side which isn’t really anything new in the grand scheme of things have a laugh, have some beers and be glad we’re not in the conference like county and chesterfield.

We aren’t going up so may as well enjoy the season!

Morecambe at home, drew.
Leyton Orient at home, lost
Goalless and injury ridden Stevenage at home, drew.
Cambridge at home, hammered.
Tinpot Salford who can’t buy an away win, lost.

Home form is embarrassing. Not that our away form is much better either. However, bring on Walsall who lost to Oldham 2-0 today. Odds on us not getting anything there either, but it’ll be alright because we’ll have lots of chances and be unfortunate.

Pearce lost his man. Logan wasnt at fault.

I thought we played quite well tonight apart from a few key moments where we switched off and they punished us. That said our final ball / crossing is woeful.

Tick tock JD.

Agreed, great finish but the hesitation allowed him to find an angle.

Said it in the other thread. JD didn't fully address this squads problems.

Midfield not good enough. Be brave and recognise Players like Bish and Macca aren't good enough for a top three or league one side, get rid and freshen it up.
Defence, No competition for places, they are so slack its unreal.
Get a Proper Keeper, Stone isn't offering any Real competition for Logan and what if Bobby cant get back to his best?

Sack Dempster
Bring in a manager that can at least get the best out of this lot
Address midfield and defence in jan
Try and salvage something from the season.

History is relating its self, its just like when Evans came in.

Pearce at fault for both goals didn’t win the header for the first and then failed to clear the second when had the chance up the line turned inside and eventually gave it away

Slow tippy tappy football easy to defend

New keeper needed

Pearce had an absolute shocker, anyone who blames logan is a serial moaner who has nothing better to do but g :geek: e onto the back of one of the only players who didn’t play that badly. Of course logan was the last person for the ball to go past, however Pearce failed to clear the ball on the two occasions causing the two easy shots to be taken. He should entirely take the blame. Gordon played excellently for the majority of the game along with a great performance from shaughnessy.

Despite this team had a lacklustre performance when in front of goal with somewhat timid shots from the whole team

Lets hope we can beat a Walsall team who are performing as badly as we are!!!

What is JR waiting for? Surely he can see this isn’t anywhere near good enough?

I’m all for giving managers time but this is so difficult after last season, it’s basically the same squad.

We’re rapidly approaching Christmas and we have 17 points from a possible 45. It’s not good enough!

It’s not just the manager. It’s the players all of them have failed over the last three years I think this summer a rebuild is needed.

The ball was curled around Logan who was well positioned and went in of the inside of the post a good finish by Jervis. Pearce was woeful tonight his worse game for Stags by a mile and at fault for both goals not Logan

I said that a few weeks ago and people were chirping saying if I'm putting my money in. I agree with you, it's like they've had a hangover from last season and it's just not going away. The poor form from the end of last season has just carried on. Some players know they can't get dropped, mainly the defence and as you say it's been consecutive seasons of failure and not achieving our goals. Clear out and rebuild me thinks too

let's try to not give everyone stupid wages and long contracts because it seems like the players have got it cushty here but they're not pulling their finger out.

I was right inline with the shot. Quality finish, curled it in of the far post. Logan no chance. Let not try to pick on Logan cos we don't want to say Pearce dropped two clangers tonight.

The Chief was found wanting for both Salford goals.
