a reminder of what happened:

6 minutes of stoppage time had been added on. In the 7th minute, a corner from the left for Forest Green which Logan decisively punched away. The final whistle immediately blew and there was a kerfuffle down by the corner flag on the opposite side involving a few players. The incident was off camera from both the main camera and our pitchside camera. However according to eyewitness Stags fan Pete Wright, “it started with Liam Kitching kicking the ball very hard and from very close range at Otis Khan. Khan reacted by shoving him in the chest, then all handbags broke loose.” Unless there is footage from a Forest Green camera, I doubt anything more will come of this.

They must be gutted that they missed an opportunity to not hand out another red card out to a stags player

Was anyone cautioned at the time? Did the Ref take any action? If not why did he feel the need to include it in his match report?

If this ‘coming together’ had happened ten minutes earlier and the Referee had taken action would it have been included?

Storms and tea cups. Surely the FA given the fact that ‘they did not know about Bury until they were kicked out of Division 1’ have more pressing things to do?

The ref would have included it in his match report because it happened. I'd say nobody knew how it started (ie match officials) just what the ref observed. Maybe FGR have cctv that caught it?

Just because it happened doesn’t mean it has to be included. Many a time ‘things’ have happened that have not been included in the match report.

The linesman on our side saw everything but did not get involved.

It was Logan's fault. I don't know how he can sleep at night.

How can you blame Logan? It was obviously dempsters fault for not holding their hands and walking them off the pitch when the whistle was blown ;)

Think the Logan remark was a bit tongue in cheek. He had a decent game again and could not be faulted for their goals.

no, no, bobby conrad to blame. if he'd not pulled all those saves to keep us in with a sniff it'd not mattered so much at the end and our team would've trudged off.

As part time Pete said, the linesman on that side surely would have seen what happened, but never got involved. Unless Otis said something, it looked to all be down to Kitching, who kicked the ball at him from about a yard or so away. He was facing away from the changing rooms at the time, but , on the FGR forum , one of their fans said all he did was kick the ball towards the changing rooms ! .They also said we were very aggresive throughout the game , not mentioning that their players had recognized the threat of Gordon and Bennnig going forward, and dealt with it by kicking lumps out of them from the first minute !

The reason the ball seemed to be travelling towards the dressing rooms is that the ball bounced off Khan with such force.

I used to hate that at school in the winter. Slugded up to the eyes trudging back to changing rooms and some giant oaf would give you the full blast of the ball on back of legs..wet leather and laces not nice on a frosty morning. Just like the film KEZ. Happy days.
