FGR scorefred sponsored by 3 on the bounce?

Postby Foresttownstag » Wed Oct 16, 2019 5:42 am

In here!

Can we make it 3 on the bounce? Have we finally turned a corner?

Tough trip this weekend and the weather doesn’t look great, last year it was off at HT due to the weather, hopefully not the same this year.

FGR 1-1 Mansfield

285 Stags!

PS - anyone who hasn’t been before, don’t pay extra for the “covered standing” as it’s not covered. I got absolutely drenched last year!

I'm going for a loss, but a well-performed loss with lots of positives. FGR are a decent side and are up there for a reason. Its a dump of a place to go to etc.

Hopefully, we can sneak a draw

They treat away supporters with disdain and I will never return there after getting absolutely drenched, stuck in a leaking marquee with rubbish canned beer and it took at least 40 minutes to get out of the car park. Tin pot set up.

The game is not as tough as it appears on paper. I think we cant get at least a point out of this game.

Clean sheet and dry weather. The Grumpies (2/3) are in the "covered" standing area again.

It's a farce isn't it. I paid for that but just went 'up stairs' to stand under the roof. Most tin pot stand I've ever been in.

Also, almond milk in your tea is a grim.

If we play to our attacking strengths we could come away with something here. 9 points from 3 games would indicate the corner has been turned.

I'd take a draw and a win against Salford.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

1 each and would be happy with that but if the boys get the rub of the Green... excuse the pun we might win this 2 1.

Win at home draw away. I can cope with a draw on Saturday. A draw and a good performance will do. A win and any kind of performance would be better. I could stomach a loss if we looked dangerous and their keeper was man of the match or a draw and we weren't at the races.

I'm going to go with a 2-0 win for us. Goals from Cook and Khan. Its the mansfield town way, do poor against "poor" sides and look good against "better" sides.

Indeed David. FTS has muscled in and let the fred out whilst you're still in bed. T'fred was looking at a hat trick with you in control of it. Now I'm not so sure so i think it's gonna be tough.

We need to be going to places like this expecting to win if we have any ambition to get out of this league. 2 wins on the bounce , let's make it 3 with a convincing win.

What a statement it would be if we could beat them and win 3 on the bounce. However I’d be more than happy with a draw if we follow it up by smashing Salford on Tuesday night!

Are you talking about prior seasons because I’m struggling to think when looked good against better sides this season.

3 on the bounce is always difficult and will be away to fgr, hopefully the weather is good for travelling fans. I would take a draw myself.
