You have completely missed my point. I am arguing that stats have no impact on results and should be generally ignored as they have little value in real terms. It's punters that rely on them when placing bets that need their heads shaking. If we listened to supporters of statistics we would all be cutting our throats. Statisticians do nothing but empire build.
