Read this earlier. Very interesting, and quite alarming too.

Each to their own and it’s a fine insight in to what makes the board tick, but I still don’t see any reason why Dempster should be afforded all this time that he/she mentions he should get.

So far we’ve seen poor football, little evidence that he can motivate the players, little evidence the players have genuine respect for him, a lack of tactical nous, he ultimately failed to address some of our issues in the summer transfer market for one reason or another, and most importantly, poor results.

It may be nice for this person to think that we can just write the season off and let Dempster learn the ropes, let him get his own players in (which he’s already had a summer to do some of) but the chairman has said he wants promotion and rightly so.

We have a good squad being utilised poorly, that’s the bottom line, and we should be readying for a change even though it may seem harsh.

To be honest most of us on here could have written that blog couldn't we ? You don't need to have been an employee of the club to have assembled all that detail... just a reader of Stagsnet!

How can the budget have been cut for a start? We lost one player in the summer and bought in 6. The only way it can have been cut is on the managers wages, which is not a budget cut that effects the squad.

The person talks about not having overnight stays. We've already had overnight stays for pretty much every away game this season.

They also seem to get all of their information from Stagsnet, and there are no insights which anyone on here couldn't have supplied.

Good comment.

It doesn't add up one bit.

Cook and Maynard will both be on league one wages.
Shaughnessy could be cheap as hes from a very big club willng to pay wages or he could be on alot if leeds are not willing to meet his wages while away on loan.
Kellan Gordon will be a high earner at the club having come from Derby County.
Mellis got a new contract after bragging he could be earning more elsewhere.

The blogs probably just from a user on this board trying to stir things up (Anyone remember Luke and his many different usernames ?)

If you bothered to look into it for about ten seconds you’d find out it was someone who legitimately worked in our media department for three years.

Is it the same fella who had a grudge against Murray who started tweeting about him when he left?

The budget could easily of been cut.... you don't have a clue how much the players are on... all the new signings will be on way less then Fat mans signings for a fact.

Mellis got zero offers from other clubs so would of signed anything, yes he probably took a slight cut.
Gordon would of been on Derbys U23 wages, they're all paid the same average wage but offer incredible bonuses based on performance. so he's about right for league two.
Cook and Maynard, again will be on decentish money but will be on bonuses rather than just a fat pay check.

Also we didn't sign loads and loads of top top players did we? JD maybe wanted to but couldn't... because of a slight budget cut. Don't forget our budget has been that high that even cutting it could still mean its high for this league.

So it does add up if you think about it differently.

Maybe very slightly Sedgwick, but not significantly. We have pretty much exactly the same squad, and only a few of them signed new contracts in the summer. One senior player, 6 new players came in. Maynard and Cooks wages will easily have covered Atkinsons.

I mean Dempster and Glover will be cheaper than DF and Futcher, but after spending £150,000 on Andy Cook and signing Maynard it’s hard to believe the budget has dropped.

This is one of those faux ITK articles that role play they’re high up in the club when everything they’ve said, we already know and everything else is speculation at best.

In the short term though we would have to have paid off Flitcroft and Futcher so maybe there’s no overall saving!
