Wow, ok so sacking the staff is a bit odd... Perhaps there is a new manager coming and JD / Glover will be kept in the coaching team?

If not, this is just bizarre.

If Dempster is about to be replaced, why on Earth would you let him do the press conference this morning?

Does this not say to people that Dempster is going to be given more time?

So he’s gonna be moved to the assistant role?

If so, yeah it’s a lovely sentiment, but really, how well would it be received down the line if he was put in charge again? Not overly well i’d Imagine. I think a role in the youth set-up for Dempster is best suited.

Look again at his time at Oxford. Considered there best manager in years, at a club who have had Chris Wilder in recent memory.

But you have to take into account all his managerial career.

Nov 2011 Pompey - admin and relegation.
Nov 2012 Blackpool - left them after just 65 days and 11 games to go to Blackburn.
Jan 2013 Blackburn - won 4 from 15. Lasted 67 days.

So when he was at clubs with off field issues his record is no better/worse than Coleman's.

Are they not doing dynamic stretches? Just static?!

Either way, wasnt acceptable with the knowledge we had 20 years ago, let alone now

Just noticed at the last game I went to... mostly doing static but I didn't watch the whole warm up.

Ive spent a lot of time around Team GB gymnasts, Climbers, sprinters and the level of warm ups footballers do seem so dated and basic. Obviously I'm no expert, just an observation

True, but Coleman's 'best' club job was his first one 12 years ago, whereas Appleton's was his most recent one 2 years ago. That suggests he is learning as he goes along.

JD has previously stated he thought the side were fit and performances were good.

Though these departures are welcomed, the real one we want out is still in.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

The fact he thinks we're fit enough, when clearly we're not is very worrying... I'm fine with a clear out, but if we're doing that, clear them all!

I'd have him back just for the comedy value that Stagsnet would provide.

Dempster back to the youth team would be a win win for everyone.

He's obviously very good at that role and a good coach. No reason why he can't be a good manager, just needs a few years learning, which he doesn't have when promotion is the main aim.

Re the rumour about Chris Coleman . Is this another red herring when it could be John Coleman of Accrington?
Mind you , he wouldn’t do for some as he is not animated enough. The last game at the Mill I seem to recall he sat down most of the time on one of the advertising boards and let his coaching staff do most of the shouting. A brilliant manager in my opinion .

Whilst on the subject of a new manager our last three managers Surnames have started with letters next to each other in the alphabet .
D( Dempster) E(Evans) F(Flitcroft)
To continue the pattern we need C or F
Coleman would do nicely but on the other hand would G be Glover ?

Doesn’t sound very decisive. We don’t want to be messing around with this and doing half a job.
