They seem to want to mark fresh air, so leaving him free is going to be suicidal if they get enough balls into the box.
3-1 to Vale

I keep faith that will happen until he isn't here anymore.

I feel the same. Need a win for JD to survive though.

If White isn't fit then Benning at CB. CJ LWB and Dapo(or Cook if fit enough) with Rose.
Personally I'd switch to a back 4. Dempster clearly doesn't seem comfortable with a back 3, yes it served us well last season but isn't doing Jack this season. Time to change it. You don't know how to use it Demps.
Go for:
Logan
White Pearce Sweeney Benning
Gordon Bishop Shaughnessy Khan
Rose Cook
I'm told by a neighbour who supports Derby and attends their reserve and youth games that Gordon has played right back fairly often for them. So if white is not there yet then Gordon at right back and Khan and CJ on the wings, changing sides fairly often. If they stop us crossing them swap wings and try cutting inside. If 2e can get the ball wide and get crosses in I'd expect cook and Rose to have the aerial presence to get on the end of crosses.
Another option at right back is young James Clarke, who looked good in pre season but the standard of opposition isn't exactly much to should about.

Didn’t you disregard Gordon playing at RB when I suggested he started there on Tuesday in a back 4 with White being out? White should definitely start though if he’s properly fit as you say.
Agree, I think a back 4 is the way to go for this one. We may as well try something different. I can see him playing Bishop, Macca and Tomlinson in the middle, so with that in mind i hope it’s a 433.
