Just returned to training but had another setback apparently. Time to pay him up and get rid!

A club will never offload an injured player unless the player asks them too. They have a duty of care.

I had noticed the old age demographic population of mansfield was fading away, this would explain it.

Forgot he even played for us.
If he were a horse he’d have been shot long ago.

Thought the signs weren't good when John D skirted round the question asked by Stevo in the interview video yesterday.

He will be back on the pitch soon enough.
I think we've got a new shirt coming out. Most expensive model we've ever had.

We all said and knew Davies would never play for Stags again a bit like Jones when he became a crock.
Time to get mutual agreement on both sides to retire him gracefully, think we can manage without him now and have done for most of the last season and this one probably also.
His wages must be huge!!
Come on Davies do the right thing for Stags and bow out as a decent player of your time.

Why on earth would he agree to terminate his contract? Another team won't sign him whilst he's injured and he'll have no money coming in. It's just an unfortunate situation all round

I hope it does. First time Ive took van insurance from one call this year.
Only because was the cheapest and in 30 odd years of driving was the first time I was asked for my driving licence number
And consent for it to be checked.
Took 2 attempts to verify but was very impressed to be honest.
I'm quite sure all players are insured properly and wouldn't surprise me if we are making more money than them actually playing.

Clubs (especially lower league clubs) generally do not have insurance to cover the cost of paying players when they are injured mainly because such insurance would be extortionately expensive. The risk of a player getting injured is quite high.
Players are insured through the PFA and will pick up a lump sum if they retire through injury. However they are not going to retire whilst they are being paid in full under their contracts. How many of us would agree to giving up our sick pay on full or half pay whilst we were unable to do our jobs due to illness or injury?

It would somewhat ironic if we don't have insurance cover.

I think that most lower clubs wouldn’t do it as the costs are prohibitive but if we are being funded via one call loans it might make sense to offer some sort of cheap insurance as a financial fair play loophole if required? It feels like a potential advantage given we’d be one of few with the right connections?
I was recently talking to a Birmingham fan who made me aware of one way clubs were exploiting FFP by offering player-coach deals, I was told the coach part of the deal didn’t have to be declared within FFP which allowed clubs to inflate wages.

Wayne Rooney is a example, Derby have got around it in terms of big bucks via selling the stadium though.

If you look at his Instagram profile, all you ever get are pictures of him at some resort with his tats out and laughing his tits off. All paid for by us.
