Proposed Gypsy camp ( Woburn lane )

Postby Billy the fish » Thu Aug 01, 2019 5:46 pm

Mansfield district / Notts county council have designated land next to the Training ground for use as a potential travellers site . I’m sure the club will oppose this if they know anything about this ?..

Mansfield Council, the mind boggles.

Ineptitude redefined.

Absolute omni-shambles.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

There’s also two proposed on Victoria Street, just across the railway from the ground.

Ay, lets get the facts straight people.

The 15 sites to be consulted on have been whitled down, for various reason, from the 100+ examined.

No decisions have been made, hece the consultation and your views are as good as anyones elses so go to the MDC website and add your input.

The council are only doing what they have been instructed to do by the government, if Mansfield does not find the required sites the Planning Inspectorate will do it for us with no appeals.

You have until September to add your comments.

“Consultation”

Has anyone responded to say “it’s a good idea to have a gypsy camp near my house/business”?

If not, what exactly is the point of “consultation”? (Purely a box ticking exercise)
