First game starting 11 ?

From what I have seen so far we need to go 442 to get Khan in the side.I have not been too impressed with Sweeney so would play Pearce and Preston.CJ has to start and can switch wings.He has a decent right foot as it proved against Hull.Surprised we have not seen Donohue yet.Hope to see him on Tuesday.Logan is annoying with the time he takes to release the ball.Hope Bobby will be ready soon.

I think it'll be something like that, certainly 9 of the 11 players. The only changes I could see to that are potentially involving Mellis for MacDonald or Khan, and maybe the goto sub would be CJ going more central and Benning coming on. 2 of MacDonald, Khan, Benning and Mellis will play. The change in tactic might be Cook off and Khan, Mellis, Benning and CJ more advanced. Benning and CJ are the keys to change in tactics.

Agree with that. Mellis would be my first choice for midfield at home. If going 4-4-2 I'd probably drop Preston and play Pearce and Sweeney as right and left footed centre halves, Benning at left back and Hamilton on the left wing.

We have a more balanced squad this year with genuine competition for most places with probably only Pearce being a nailed on starter.

If Khan doesn't start then I'd be gutted if I was him, been my pick of pre-season performers. Has been a serious threat at set pieces, played in some good balls for others and tracked back.

The defence picks itself; Logan, Pearce, Preston, Sweeney, White. Benning

Bish is a non brainer, CJ, Mellis & Maynard too so here's my 11 to start.

I’ve been a critic of Logan’s weight just lately and still feel his is way to heavy, however he is our best keeper at the moment and should start at Newport.
